G is a very competent, very strong writer. It’s her honesty and unbiased stance, even if she may personally hate having to write something critical in a certain instance, that makes this the case. She isn’t afraid to write what she thinks, even if this were to be ultimately to the detriment of herself and any working relationship she may be trying to forge with the subject themselves. Knowledgeable enough to write something of substance too, it is easy to forget when reading her material that she is still very young. If she takes on board the inevitable ‘lessons learned’ through life, which I have no doubt she will, she could write wherever she wants about whatever she wants when the time comes. She makes reading interesting; I find myself reading stuff about artists I have previously had no interest in and that’s the real talent behind Georgina.
